Following four sessions of sizeable losses in value, precious metals climbed along with crude oil this morning as a vote on the implementation of required austerity measures neared in Greece. Prime Minister Papandreou’s proposed 78 billion euro program of spending cuts and asset sales faces a tough sell but is the prerequisite to the release of some 12 billion euros in payments coming from the initially approved bailout package.
New Delhi: Silver prices rose by Rs 510 to Rs 51,160 per kg in futures trading on Wednesday as speculators enlarged their positions on the back of a firming global trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July rose by Rs 510, or 1.01 per cent, to Rs 51,160 per kg, with a business turnover of 6,774 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in September moved up by Rs 510, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 52,072 per kg, with an open interest of 1,632 lots.
Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators in tandem with a firming global trend mainly pushed up silver futures prices.
Meanwhile, silver traded 0.38 per cent higher at USD 34.07 an ounce in the Asian region.
SINGAPORE, June 29 (Reuters) - Gold edged higher on
Wednesday, as investors are optimistic that Greece's parliament
will approve an austerity plan later in the day, underpinning
sentiment in bullion and other commodities.

As the world's top gold producer and second largest consumer, China is the single most important player in the global gold arena.
Last year, Chinese gold demand grew by 32% — reaching nearly 25,000,000 ounces for the first time in history. Yet despite the country's seemingly insatiable appetite for the yellow metal today, world leaders are concerned the demand for gold could get out of hand...

Get ready. We are now entering the final stages in the collapse of the U.S. dollar...
And it's not going to be pretty.

Standard Chartered just released a 64-page outlook for gold, and the bulls will be pleased with its findings. Its authors say $5,000 gold is likely in the near future.
The report highlights a worldwide lack of new production and increasing demand from Asia. More from CNBC:
This list shows how countries stack up in terms of gold reserves.
In an otherwise quiet article about central banks today, Bloomberg quoted an analyst who says China may use up to a third of their $3 trillion in foreign reserves to purchase gold.
China has been moving away from the dollar, and into alternative stores of wealth for years now.
But $1 trillion into gold? If it happens, such a large move would further threaten the dollar's status as reserve currency. It would also provide further buying pressure in gold for years to come (as the dollar crumples into a pitiful heap on the floor).

As Greece teeters on the brink of default and civil unrest rises in the country over sharp spending cuts, gold has seen some safe-haven buying emerge as investors flee riskier assets.

San Antonio, Texas-- (Kitco News) Gold should trade to just over $1,600 an ounce by the end of 2011 and silver should be flirting with $50 an ounce as governments will need to maintain a loose monetary policy despite the phasing out of stimulus packages in the U.S., according to the director of a major research firm.
Philip Newman, research director of GFMS, said in an interview on the sidelines of the International Precious Metals Institute’s Precious Metals Conference here there may be too much focus in the markets on the second quantitative easing versus a possible third program.

The story of gold is as rich and complex as the metal itself.
Wars have been fought for it; love has been declared with it. Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs portray gold as the brilliance of the sun; modern astronomers use mirrors coated with gold to capture images of the heavens.
The World Gold Council is committed to the development of a truly sustainable gold mining industry.
Mining has broad social and economic benefits for developing and developed countries alike. Responsibly produced gold contributes to the economic and social development of local communities whilst providing important national revenue for countries with gold reserves.
The World Gold Council is the global authority on gold and its uses, and the first source of informed opinion and advice for stakeholders and decision makers. Our research provides authoritative analysis of key aspects of the gold market. We provide comprehensive market intelligence, helping to inform your strategic decisions. Our programmes and market interventions provide unique insights and add value to our partners and stakeholders across all sectors.

Research

The World Gold Council’s investment research programme provides investors around the world with key information about the dynamics of the gold market and about the investment properties of gold as an asset class.
We publish a wide range of research papers looking at gold's investment characteristics. Our research examines gold’s special characteristics as a store of value, inflation and currency hedge, and portfolio diversifier.

Research

The World Gold Council conducts research into the existing and emerging technology related markets for gold. Technology related uses of gold in industrial applications, including electronics, dentistry, medicine and nanotechnology, account for around 12% of gold demand (an annual average of over 434 tonnes from 2005 to 2009). Our market intelligence and insights allow us to develop technologies and support markets in a way that protects, strengthens and expands the role gold plays in industrial applications.
Precious metals prices dipped today as New York opened despite more evidence that Greece likely to default (at least technically) and strong industrial demand for silver.

BENONI -
After a quiet and steady week, gold jumped in New York yesterday.   In Asia, after New York's higher close at $1,540, the gold price was steady, which was surprising because it was in the face of a stronger dollar.   The result was the gold in the euro jumped from below €1,049 to €1,064.
It was not until London opened that the gold price started to move slightly up to $1,543.   At London's morning Fix it was set at $1,541.00 and in the euro at €1,064.45.   Gold is still consolidating.

OPEC discussion on Wednesday led to another technical hick up. It centered on whether or not the current slip-up in global growth is a result of too high oil prices. The Saudi’s on one side kept saying that high prices are having an impact, and should be lowered to support the global economy, but Iran insisted the world is slowing down anyway and increasing output may lower prices below $80, damaging its ability to fund domestic projects.

While there are many reasons that gold and silver are going to keep moving higher as the fiat currencies trend lower, at our recent Casey Research Summit in Boca Raton, faculty member Mike Maloney pointed out a fact that, while obvious in hindsight, I had never heard mentioned previously.
Gold prices are expected to rise next week as fears of a ratcheting up in Europe’s sovereign debt crisis will encourage buyers to return to the metal, participants in the Kitco News Gold Survey said.
In the Kitco News Gold Survey, out of 34 participants, 21 responded this week. Of those 21 participants, 14 see prices up, while three see prices down and four see prices sideways or unchanged. Market participants include bullion dealers, investment banks, futures traders and technical chart analysts.

Lima tahun dulu harga terendahnya ialah AS$412.10 iaitu kenaikan sebanyak 152.8 peratus.
Last week the U.N. warned of a possible collapse of the US dollar –if its value against other currencies continues to decline. The U.N. mid-year review of the world economy did not get extensive coverage. Their economic division said that a crisis of confidence in the dollar, stemming from the falling value of foreign dollar holdings, would imperil the global financial system.

Last year, billionaire financier George Soros said he thought gold was “the ultimate bubble”. So those worried that gold could be nearing the end of its ten-year bull market have noted that he has sold most of his holdings in gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs). But does his exit – and gold’s latest record above €1,080 – really mean that the party is over?
Don’t count on it. For starters, note that Soros still has exposure to gold through gold mining shares and a gold mining ETF, says Julian DW Phillips on Goldforecaster.com. The global macroeconomic backdrop hardly suggests that investors no longer need a safe haven and store of value. While the end of the Fed’s latest money-printing programme (QE2) is due in June, the recent weakness in the US economy means another round of QE can hardly be ruled out. Even if it doesn’t happen, however, interest rates remain negative, which is fertile groundfor gold.
Indeed, most big economies, fearful of choking off fragile growth, “are letting interest rates fall even further behind inflation”, says James Mackintosh in the FT. Inflation fears have also emerged in China, with growing demand for bullion there bolstering gold. According to the World Gold Council, sales of physical gold jumped by more than 100% year-on-year in the first quarter. Emerging-market central banks continue to diversify into gold, with Mexico, Bolivia, Russia and Thailand topping up their holdings in the first three months of the year.
Fears of a banking meltdown following a debt default in Europe won’t recede soon, especially now that political uncertainty is mounting. Finally, with just 0.6% of global financial assets in gold, compared to 3% in 1980 when it last peaked, gold still looks far from bubbly, says Sebastian Lyon of Troy Asset management. Deutsche Bank expects the price to reach $2,000.
Gold is a precious metal highly prized by many people and cultures, and has a history of being used as currency or some other form of money. It was only in 1971 when the Bretton Woods system ended that gold did not anymore get used as currency.
Even so, gold is still nowadays considered as a good, safe investment. Apart from the more common investments stocks, bank accounts, real estate, bonds, and mutual funds, many individuals and entities choose to invest in buying gold. Investing in gold is done for various reasons.

(Reuters) - Spot gold held steady on Thursday as a wait-and-see sentiment prevailed on future U.S. monetary policy moves, while palladium strengthened as the automobile sector recovers from the Japan earthquake in March.

The dollar index .DXY edged lower, as the euro was underpinned by expectations that the European Central Bank will likely flag a July rate hike at a meeting later in the day.

Spot gold was steady at $1,535.65 an ounce by 0554 GMT (1:54 a.m. ET), after losing half a percent in the previous session.

U.S. gold inched down 0.1 percent to $1,537.20.

Jun 7 (PTI) Silver continued its upward streak in India for the third straight session Tuesday and rose by Rs 100 to Rs 55,200 per kg on sustained buying by stockists, supported by a firm global trend. However, gold held steady at Rs 22,810 per 10 grams in restricted local buying at prevailing high levels.

Trading sentiments remained firm as gold gained on concerns about Europe''s debt crisis and signs that the US economy is slowing, boosting demand for the yellow metal as an alternative investment.

India gold was steady on Tuesday afternoon as support from the overseas market was offset by a firm rupee locally, with traders waiting for falls amid a seasonally lean demand period, dealers said.

Setiap unit trust mempunyai objektif pelaburan masing-masing.

Saya tak rekomen sesiapa pun labur sekali gus kecuali

- * - * - * - * -

Terbaca komen menarik mengenai unit trust a.ka
mutual fund

- * - * - * - * -

I rest my case here.
Sebaliknya
emas, masih lagi mempunyai peningkatan permintaan.

mahu mengelakkan inflasi ekonomi berlaku.

It's true.

The rich ARE getting richer.

Whether the economy is up or down and whether unemployment is high or low... the billionaires of the world always seem two steps ahead of EVERYONE ELSE.

In fact, Forbes recently reported that over the past year alone, the richest people in the world are now $1 trillion richer!

That's $1,000,000,000,000... or twelve zeros.

All the while, everyone else's retirement funds, investments, and salaries either remained stagnant or dropped!
It doesn't just seem unfair.

It's downright infuriating!

And get this:

They're making their killing, right now, through ditching their stock portfolios!

That's right. The world's wealthiest people – guys like George Soros, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffett – aren't using the stock market to expand their fortunes.

In fact, they're running from investments traded in ANY paper currency.

Instead, they're stocking up on as much precious metals as they can afford.

The Times New World reports that these multi-billionaires are literally starting to buy gold by the ton.

The moment that news hit my desk, I started digging up as much information as I possibly could.

After all, everyone knows that their secret to success is to always be several steps ahead of everyone else. So before anything happens, I wanted to know why.

What I found was utterly shocking. But acting on it now could help protect your financial future forever.

In fact, before another second goes by, I want to rush you my latest report “Why Invest in Gold”
As you are able to figure out from this, gold prices and silver prices will keep on increasing quickly over the next months. Precious metals have a long way to go up yet. Today is really a great time to buy gold and buy silver.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 02, 2011 – China is making arrangements for the ultimate death of the dollar. Li Lianzhong, a senior economist within the ruling Chinese Communist Party, directly attacked the dollar lately. Li’s message is simple: China should purchase much more gold simply because the dollar is poised for a further fall. Li also stated that China ought to use much more of its $1.95 trillion in foreign reserves to purchase energy resource assets. Go to http://www.silverdollar.cc for more profitable silver and gold tips.

Li asked the very valid question, “Should we buy gold or U.S. Treasuries? The U.S. is printing dollars on a massive scale, and in view of that trend, according to the laws of economics, there is no doubt that the dollar will fall. So gold should be a better choice.” There's no doubt in our minds that China, the biggest holder of US Treasuries with nearly $900 billion worth of bonds in the end of September, 2010, is moving to decrease its exposure towards the buck. China has pointed out it had elevated its holdings of gold to over 1,200 tons coming from 600 tons since 2003. Information cited December 2010 by China’s state-run Xinhua news agency confirmed that China imported 209.7 metric tons of gold within the first ten months of 2010; a fivefold raise compared using the exact same period last year.

The main thing is China continues to be our banker giving credit by purchasing our Treasuries and financing our way of life as well as our Dollar dominance for a very long time. These days are over. And who will purchase our debt now? Why of course, the Federal Reserve will. That is right, the Fed will invent cash out of thin air to purchase and support our exponential debt requirements. And that is a one-way ticket to huge inflation and/or hyperinflation. Go to http://www.silverdollar.cc for more profitable silver and gold tips.

The Largest Monetary Players Are Purchasing A Lot of Gold

The planet's wealthiest individuals have responded to economic worries by purchasing gold by the bar -- and occasionally by the ton -- and by moving assets out of the monetary system, bankers catering towards the very wealthy have reported. Fears of a double-dip recession have boosted the hunger for physical bullion as well as for mining company shares as well as exchange-traded funds, UBS executive Josef Stadler told the Reuters Global Private Banking Summit. "They don't only buy ETFs or futures; they buy physical gold," stated Stadler, who operates the Swiss bank's services for customers with assets of a minimum of $50 million to invest. UBS is advocating top-tier customers hold 7-10 % of their assets in precious metals like gold, which is on course for its tenth consecutive year. "We had a clear example of a couple buying over a ton of gold ... and carrying it to another place," Stadler stated. At current prices, that shipment could be really worth about $42 million.

Julius Baer's key investment official for Asia is also suggesting that wealthy investors park a few of their assets in gold as a protective stance following a chain of lackluster U.S. information and amid issues about currency weakness. "I see gold as an insurance," Van Anantha-Nageswaran stated. "I recommend 10 percent as minimum in portfolios and anything more than that to be used for trading purposes, to respond to short-term over-bought or over-sold signals."

This is really an ideal illustration of an age-old idea: When paper money is dying, you getaway into “money insurance” and simply wait out the storm. It's as easy, simple, and intuitive as that. Gold is history’s everlasting and safest type of cash. Go to http://www.silverdollar.cc for more profitable silver and gold tips.

Emerging marketplace nations are quietly purchasing gold aggressively. Within the past 12 months, Russia, China, as well as India moved part of their Western currency supplies into bullion. The shift was substantial sufficient to push gold prices greater even as equity marketplaces settled down. Now this year’s gold rush is really a result primarily of purchasing pressure from emerging marketplace banks, not worried retirees purchasing coins. So why is this essential? The long term of the international economic climate is within the East. Rather than multiple-trillion dollar debts, China, Russia, and India have currency reserves. Most of these governments are gradually moving their reserves from fiat currencies such as the dollar to much more stable stores of worth like gold. This is really a clear sign that self-confidence is waning within the US government’s capability to pay off debt. They're, in essence, shorting the US economic climate and checking out other stores of worth apart from the dollar.

Is the large picture coming into just a little more awareness now? There's absolutely nothing unusual or sudden about this. It's the perfectly all-natural result of a totally fiat currency program. As soon as all restraint continues to be suspended for cash creation you have pre-determined the ending result simply because you’ve let loose unlimited credit, which indicates unlimited debt. And also you wind up having a Ponzi scheme of ever-increasing financial debt to pay for prior obligations at interest. That is why dictated currencies have a 100% failure rate. They spiral out of control as every generation of debt should be bigger to satisfy the prior generation of principal as well as interest payments. As you are able to figure out from the above, gold prices and silver prices will keep on increasing quickly over the next months. Today is really a great time to buy gold and buy silver.

SINGAPORE, June 2 (Reuters) - Spot gold held steady on

Layan.....

.

Adakah jenis “Hutang Baik”?

Every market is due for a pullback in order to have a healthy adjustment. The uncertainty about the economy’s strength and the fears about rising prices, not to mention worries over global instability, will continue gold’s growth to super heights. Another wild card would be the newly “liberated” Arab nations’ anti-Israeli protests that could ignite turmoil and could send the price of oil and commodities much higher. Markets cannot continue to peak without a correction said President Ron Fricke of Regal Assets. It’s all about perspectives. Smart investors don’t need to second guess that inflation is here and that the world is in turmoil. Besides, you can’t get a handle on US economy issue, because there is no handle.
Specialist gold analyst, Jeffrey Nichols, has continually been ratcheting up the number of reasons he sees for being bullish on gold, however, as he told Mineweb on the sidelines of the New York Hard Assets Conference last week, some of these are expansions of the multitude of factors among them: The U.S. Fed’s policy of an unprecedented level of money creation coupled with zero (or effectively negative) interest rates, the difficulties in reaching agreement on the U.S. budget coupled with enormous U.S. sovereign debt and eroding creditworthiness, the move by Central Banks to become buyers of gold rather than sellers, the onset of vehicles like ETFs which make it easier for the investor to buy gold, plus the increasing acceptance of gold as an investment class amongst major investing institutions, and finally, the limited growth in global mine production of gold .
He reckons gold’s fortunes remain very bright. With all the supportive price drivers ready to burst forth, “look for new all-time highs in the months ahead.” He does stick his neck out on a specific price prediction and reckons “gold has every chance of reaching $1700 by the year end, $2000 in 2012 and “possibly $3000 or even $5000″ before a time when he feels the cycle may eventually reverse later in the decade.”

Many Indonesians see dinars and dirhams as the best way of protection against economic fluctuations.
Seeing it as a source of security amid global economic instability, Indonesians are returning back to traditional Islamic currently in their daily transactions.
“I’ve chosen dinar because of it is safe and stable,” Hardjito Warno explained on Saturday, February 26.
The Indonesian man has been collecting gold dinars as a long-term investment since 2006.
He is now the holder of more than 50 coins in his deposit box, which he sometimes uses for certain purposes, such as paying education fees.
“[The] dinar is very liquid so I can use it for multiple purposes,” Warno said.
Dinar and silver dirham are available in shops in the world’s most populous Muslim country.
For collecting the Islamic coins, Warnoh regularly buys dinars from an agent in Jakarta.
“Sometimes I use dinar for transaction as Rasulallah teaches us,” Warno said.
There are at least 46 coin shops in the capital Jakarta and its surrounding cities, making it accessible for consumers to buy.
“In certain communities and areas the transaction using dinar and dirham have been applied,” he added.
The dinar measures 4.25 grams of gold, while the dirham is 3.0 grams of pure silver.
A golden coin is equivalent to about 582 ringgit (US183 dollars) while the silver coin is worth around 13 ringgit but their values fluctuate according to market prices.
Shield
Some Indonesians see dinars and dirhams as the best way of protection against economic fluctuations.
“I would say those who put billions rupiah of idle money in conventional banks are the losers and oppressors,” Endy Kurniawan, the author of a book titled “Think Dinar” revealed.
For some business people, putting cash in financial institutions is not the best way to invest money due to inflation and tax obligation.
“If we’re putting money in conventional bank then how much it could boost economic growth,” he asked.
The interest rates for depositing money in banks is six per cent a year in average, while the inflation rate in Indonesia is one or two per cent higher, according to the Indonesian Statistic Body.
Gold, which is typically most stable and liquid commodity, has traditionally been favourite jewellery for Indonesian housewives and become the best reliance for Muslims at needy situation, to sell or pawn.
“People have their own logic and consideration to decide, which one is better to protect their assets: holding gold or saving money,” Kurniawan added.
According to him, there is no specific data of how much dinar circulation exists in Indonesia.
Indonesia is the world’s 37st biggest gold reserves country, which is spread in a number of its big islands, such as, Sulawesi, Papua, Sumatra and Borneo; and about 18,500 tons have been produced to be fine gold and jewellery, according to data state own company PT Aneka Tambang.
Some Indonesians see the point of using dinars as part of efforts to uphold Shari`ah (Islamic law).
“It’s even more than investment. It is for upholding Islamic law,” Kurniawan said.
“It’s the weakness of using paper currency; using gold dinar would be fairer,” he added.
Fauzan Al-Anshari, director of the Islamic Study Institute, agrees.
“This is part of upholding Islamic law,” he said.
He hopes that the mushrooming dinar usage in Indonesia will inspire other countries to consider the establishment of using-dinar caucus countries, as a stepping stone of global economic reform.
“I suggest, Indonesia and any other Muslim countries, such as Pakistan, Malaysia, Brunei and Middle East countries to implement the usage of dinar as currency,” he said.
“If we want to be involved in creating economic prosperity then we must start from ourselves.”
